Downtown business owners face a unique set of challenges — from parking and infrastructure decisions to zoning changes and city planning initiatives — and those decisions are often made without a merchant's perspective at the table. TDMA exists to change that. We maintain active relationships with the City of Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa County, neighborhood associations, and other key stakeholders so that when decisions are being made that affect downtown, member voices are part of the conversation. We show up to city meetings, raise concerns on behalf of our members, and work to make sure the business community has a real say in the future of the district.
